Topo are industry leaders in ESC, employing 4 CPESC’s. Our Managing Director Kyle is also the current President of the Australasian IECA

Erosion & Sediment Control


Topo has four staff that hold the internationally recognised Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) accreditation. Our Managing Director, Kyle Robson, is also the President of the Australasian Sector of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA). We have developed significant practical experience with respect to ESC through our planning, field and secondment project experience acting in contractor, client and regulatory roles. Combined, this enables us to develop certifiable and practical ESC plans and provide experienced advice in the field.

Environmental Management


Topo staff have board environmental and engineering skills and experience. Whether short or long term, we can assist with environmental management aspects and roles on your project. Our practical soil, water, noise, vibration, air quality and waste management regularly provide clients with a proactive environmental management approach to compliment project requirements. In addition we have invested in Infrastructure Sustainability and can assist with ISCA reporting.

Whether it be site investigations, development of specific management plans or providing specialist advice allowing the client to effectively plan for, and proactively manage environmental aspects we can assist. Our skills and experience in environmental management across construction, development, resources and mining complement our entire service offering and allows us to holistically approach specific problems or scenarios.

Stormwater Management & Flood Assessment


Topo staff have considerable experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and have undertaken a number of large scale flooding and hydraulic impact assessments for projects throughout Queensland, northern New South Wales and South Australia. We have experience in stormwater quality modelling using ‘MUSIC’ and the design of stormwater treatment systems to achieve relevant water quality objectives. Topo is skilled in the design of detention systems and is very familiar with many of the specific council requirements for WSUD in Queensland.

Topo has 3 principal engineers who are proficient in hydraulic modelling and planning. Our principals are all Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) and have the technical expertise and practical experience to develop effective solutions in the field of stormwater management and flood assessment.

We provide:
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (both 1- dimensional and 2-dimensional)
• Flooding and hydraulic impact assessments
• High Efficiency Sediment (HES) Basin and Detention basin design
• Stormwater quality modelling
• Flood risk assessments and management plans

Education & Training


At Topo we aim to educate our clients and peers through all areas of our discipline. We adopt an interactive approach to project delivery and are serious about providing the support required for the success of the greater project, even after we have delivered our specific component. We are unlikely to identify a problem without offering a solution.

We also offer more formalised training, and our Director, Terry Clark, holds a Certificate IV in training and assessment. He regularly presents ESC training to a range of audience groups (field, compliance, office based). Terry has trained over 2,500 people in QLD, NSW, VIC, NT and TAS. Terry’s wealth of experience and qualifications (RPEQ, CPESC & former CPSS) provide attendees with an engaging and insightful course which is approved by the International Erosion Control Association (IECA).
