Another Successful ESC Training Course Delivered in Townsville
Topo, in partnership with Townsville City Council, has delivered both introductory and advanced ESC training sessions this month, focusing on ESC management across North Queensland and current best practices.
As part of the four-day advanced course, participants visited an active development site and the recently completed Bushy Creek channel naturalisation project. Each site presented unique challenges around planning and implementing ESC measures. The combination of theoretical and field-based learning reinforced the importance of experienced personnel being involved from initial planning and design through to construction, managing everything from sodic/dispersive soils to the treatment of highly turbid runoff, and minimising impacts on downstream environments and assets.
